TA5 (Ti-4Al) Alpha Titanium AlloyTA5 is a Chinese α-type titanium alloy with about 4 % aluminium and a trace of boron (Ti-4Al-0.005B), corresponding approximately to international IMI-315 / Ti-3A
TA5 is a Chinese α-type titanium alloy with about 4 % aluminium and a trace of boron (Ti-4Al-0.005B), corresponding approximately to international IMI-315 / Ti-3Al-type α titanium. It offers higher strength and oxidation resistance than commercially pure titanium while retaining good corrosion resistance, low density and weldability, and is used for aerospace compressor components and corrosion-resistant industrial equipment.
